I have created an image that I intend to use on all new machines. Prior to them going on the network I run a utility to create an unique SID.
However, as the image as the SMS client installed, how can I create an unique SMSID in the same manner as above.

That is an excelent question. It is commonly over looked when Imaging or Clooneing. Microsoft has addresses the issue none the less. The answer may be found here : (Well this Help ?)
