Hi, Have a annoying problem. Suddenly at few days ago my PC suddenly took over a minut to shut down. It shuts down, but it take over a minute on the screen "saving your settings". This wirked before, and the only thing i can surely say, is been chganged in the system, is that i only have updatetd, spyware programs and firewalls, and AVG antivirus.... any help, and tips to solve this annoying problem ???

Here are a few suggestions, one of them might do it:- 1. Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc Computer Configuration -> Admin Templates -> System -> Logon Change the value for "Maximum retries to unload and update user profile" to Enabled with a value of 5 or 10. If you want more info.... look at the right-hand pane once you're in that policy 2. Look in Power Options in Control Panel. On the "APM" tab, enable APM and that might cure the problem. 3. Right click on the My Computer icon, click Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager. At the top you will see View, click on that and click on Show Hidden Devices where is says nt apm/legacy support. Right click on that and select enable, it will take a few seconds to enable, close all the boxes down.
