shutdown/restart apm

i had the problem that windows went to the 'now safe to turn off' screen so checked bios for APM, turned it on in windows and now the computer just restarts. I unclicked APM in windows and now its back to the safe screen again. Is there a way of getting the computer to shutdown by itself? thanks

If u use at power supply then it will never shutdown it will show this always....if u use
atx supply then go to control pannel and use power options to solve ur problem ...sit ur power schemes to always on.
