How do I enable the server service so I can share files over a network? Right now, the "Sharing" option doesn't appear when I right-click a folder. Its just not there. Any idea how to fix it?

Sounds like a restricition placed on the account that's loged in (maybe). Are you logged in as administrator ? If not, try logging in as Administrator on this same Computer and see if the Share is there on the right click for files and folders. If it is, then it's a resttricition on the original account you were using. If it's not then I'll keep thinking what prevents the sharing option from being available
