I have an ADSL box on a USB port on my PC. This runs on a small workgroup of 4 PCs. I have tried to share this out with the 192.168.0.1 address that it gives me to two Win98 PCs. Unfortunately when I try and connect using the Win98 PCs I can not use the web via the ADSL on the Win2k Pc.
The Win98 Pc is setup with the correct IPadd.
Q: to get this working do I have to setup theDNS section of networking on the win98 pc - and if so what would the host name etc be in the config ?

http://www.dslreports.com - dsl (and cable) issues; excellent for how to share it...
http://www.practicallynetworked.com - sharing section has similar info.
It can be done via ICS; but the access router appproach does seem the better route. You have USB service so your options are a little limited; probably you will be obliged to use a specific type of router designed to accomodate USB dsl (unless willing to accept the limitations of ICS)?
The details are discussed at the first link; probably at the second as well.
