I have a printer shared. All computers have been able to use it. Now, one Windows 98SE computer receives an error if they even try to use the printer. It is set to offline. The error says "The call level is not correct". I have not been able to find any information about this type of error. I did install the ODBC 2.7 drivers just in case. However, that didn't work. Ideas are welcome.

Have you tried uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling using the most recent driver from the manufa. website? I have never heard of such an error, perhaps it has something to do with the spooler service? I will keep looking.

Yes. I have deleted the printer and associated files, then used the original drivers from the manufacturer, then again with the drivers from Windows 2000 and then again with the latest drivers from the manufacturer.

It was working at one time, so some networking change occurred, however I have not been able to identify it.
