Hi

We have 2xIBM server. I can only use all hotswap or all non-hotswap HD in them.
I have 3 x 18.2G non hotswap HD and 2x1.8G hotswap HD and 1 or two old 4G non hotswap HD.

What is the best way to setup the OS and data HD. Can I use 3 non-hotswap HD to use software raid5 on windows 200 server?

Ken

Suppose I can't, just use the hotswap HD for mirror only, raid1. Bit of a waste.

you can use the 3 non hotswap drives for your raid5 config, but you will need an other drive for the system,

Do I put 5 drives inside if possible, 1st drive is use for the OS, 2nd drive to mirror the os and the other 3 drive for data. Use the windows 2000 advance server software raid 5 for data on the 3 drives?
