Comment:

I share a computer with someone else, and we like different screen settings. Is there some way to set up the screen size automatically at login (Windows 2000) so I don't have to use the mouse in the control panel every time I use the computer? Thanks.

Maybe give Tweakui a try,
Otherwise, right click on Desktop > Properties > Settings

it doesn't take long to make a change the resolution size.
