Comment:
I have a Desktop running 2000, it ran good i used it to run the internet and listen to music. one day my power was cut out, i rebooted it and i noticed a complete slow down in performance, i tried running itunes and a few other programs and it would take about 5 min maybe more to load the program. i opened up the task manager and noticed a process called services.exe and it was using 100% the majority of the time. i suspected a virus and rebooted in safe mode ran Panda internet security and spybot scans. Once completed it only came up with adware, which i was already aware of before this all happened. So is there anyone who can give me information on this and what i can do to remove it????

If it's not in the system32 folder, it has to go. Search the C:\ driver for it to find out where it is. If you delete it and it reappears, search the registry for it.
