My w2k hang at the startup and as suggested in one of the recent posts , I have looked my event viewer and found the following with the red error.
Please let me know could this be the reason for the hang and how to fix this.

Whoever sent you to check the event viewer, has open your door to the Auditing world. without Auditing, you can't fix almost anything. Windows servers audit everything!
A little shortcut for your daily routine: Start - Run type: eventvwr.msc
