i have as serial mouse port. But I have a ps/2 mouse. I bought the adapter for serial to ps/2 but for whatever reason the mouse us still not showing up. Can some1 help me with this?

If it is a laptop you may have to go into the BIOS and adjust this. Most BIOS have options to enable, disable, or only disable the touchpad when a PS/2 is installed.

See if your serial ports are enabled in BIOS.
I have used many of these adapters; some work and some don't; dunno why.
