Well, I am at a loss... I cannot get a serial mouse to install on Win2K Pro, no matter what I do... Removed the PS/2, and rebooted with the serial in place, no effect. Removed /fastdetect from the boo.ini, no effect. Switched from Intellimouse to Logitech, no effect. Any ideas out there, folks?

I think it depends what machine it is, I've managed to install onto a Dell laptop by changing the pointing device in the bios to serial then the laptop picks up the mouse otherwise it doesn't do anything at all.

My serial ports don't work at all! I installed Win2k and I found a "No longer working" error in Device Manager. It says the location is "on Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to ISA bridge (ISA mode)" if that helps any one. I don't know if its a driver problem (is that possible?) because I get the error when there are NO devices in even. When I was in Win98 they worked fine and no errors were present. Anyone know of any Serial Port specific errors or driver errors in Win2k that might be causing this? Thanks in advance
