Comment: i have a SiS5698(i believe) motherboard and Amibios...and windows2kpro will not even give me an option to install a mouse...all i have is a serial mouse port on this machine also

Reply: (edit)I tried to install 2000 on a gateway 2000 with a serial mouse. The only way I got it to work is to go into Device Manager and disable all com ports except for the serial mouse port. Problem is, every time you restart 2000 you have to navigate back to device manage and do it all over again.I finally gave up.
