Second processor

I did processor upgrade and install the second processor to my IBM netfinity server, BIOS working porperly and sees both of the processors but Win2000 not see the new one? on the task manager I choose "One Graph Per CPU" but Win2000 don't accept these choice? What will I do? how can Win2000 meet the second processor?

You might try loading the multi-processor HAL so that windows can utilise both CPU's.

You need to change the driver in Device Manager.

Go to Device Manager, select Computer at the top of the list. Right click on the driver, probably MPS Uniprocessor PC. Click Update Driver then click on Display List of Known Drivers (or something close to that.) The select the MPC Multiprocessor PC. After a reboot, you should see both processors.

Let me know how it goes.

remember win2k only supports smp.
