Hi guys,

The Search-for-files/folders function disappears a short time after being invoked. It shows for 2-3 sec max. and then it's gone. I was wondering if it could be a registry setting that is causing this, and if so which one? Just as a precaution I did a check on my system and it's virus-free.

I would greatly appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks much!

Don't know if this will help or not, but I had the same problem once and the only way I got it to work was to reinstall office.

Seat6 - Thanks for the reply.

Can't say what was causing the problem but installing SP3 has solved it.
