SCSI Adapter not working under W2K

My windows 2000 installation detected my Adaptec AVA-1505 ISA SCSI card correctly. I have a Smart & Friendly CD-R and SCSI Zip hooked to the card. However the CD-R and Zip don't function at all. They dont detect the presence of any media in them. I heard something about ASPI and installed the latest Adaptec ASPI for NT (they didn't have one for W2K). That didn' help either.
I have a dual boot with Windows 98 and the CD-R and Zip works perfect under it. Can anyone help?

Oh! and I forgot to add. I tried installing EZ Creator 4.02 Delux (updated for W2K). The software works okay, but not the CD-R or the Zip. Frustrating to see the icons in explorer and not see them working.
