hi..
hey i just installed win 2000 on a old laptop i bought off ebay...
2 questions..it only has 32 mb ram how is this going to effct it apart from running slow...bill says you need 64 mb for win 2000
(i did want to install win 95 b but i had trouble getting it to load )is there any way i can now install 95 b and get rid of 2000???
ok next question is i have a 12 1/2 in moniter on the laptop the thing is the windowqs is only using like 8 inches of the screen how do i maximise it to use the full screen????
thanks in advance ppl....

1. Format the partition with FAT and not with NTFS you need the windows2k cd for this.
2. check your bios settings. If everything is ok look in display in the control panel

To fix the screen, you need to download the video drivers for that laptop. I just did this on an old one I have. A good place to find drivers is www.driverguide.com Huge database you can search for your laptop. I bet if you go to control panel right now, you can also only view at like 8bit or 16 bit graphics. So dl the new driver install it and reboot. bada-boom bada-bing! You should be able to view fullscreen and like 32bit color or so... You may also want to look at control panel/system and look at any other drivers you may need while your at it. Such as sound, network, dvd whatever... you get the point. Good luck.

Install Win98 - Win95 is a bit old hat now !!
Also screen refresh speed can effect picture size, so when u finished installing the correct graphics driver, check that out too !!
