Screen goes blank..pc & monitor on

About 2 or 3 times a week when not using the pc it will all of a sudden go black. the monitor is on and the pc is running. I have to shut off by the switch in back and turn on again. I will boot just fine till the next time. Its like it just loses video and freezes up. I have just changed the power supply 3 months ago.

Have you checked the power settings to see if it's actually going into Standby? It may be software related, but my guess is it's a pending hardware failure. PS would be first on my list. Life's more painless for the brainless.

sounds like gpu heating up,is it an addin gpu? if it is try blowing the fan out with canned air on the road again!!
