i made a clean installation to my server yesterday, but the problem im facing now is the Event ID = 36871 saving that "A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL server credential."

i did not install any other fancy programs in my server, what i installed was just a fax server system which i host it in my own company.

On top of that, the event id does not have a full descriiption of the error. therefore it is hard for me to find a solutions for it.

Anyone here facing the same problem?

Hmm, not sure if this relates but it's the same error you said you have. Although you performed a clean install.

The resolution says to obtain the most current Service Pack for windows 2000. But then also goes into a small step by step to resolve the issue.

ooglenz : I do not have any printers connected to the server. It is just a server hosted in the internet with a fax server system installed. That's it.

But i still dont understand why problem (Schannel still occurs). The resolution for this problem is too delete some of the certificates( according to microsoft). Then install a SP2. Funny thing was, my WIN2k comes with sp4. How come this error still happens??

Sjafiu: i will try to take a look at it. Thanks
