Having moved to Win2kI am having problems with the scanner part of the OfficeJet G85 software. The HP Director just hangs, and the TWAIN interface does too.
I have installed all the HP patches for USB and also the patch from Microsoft.

There is a component service installed when the scanner is detected called 'Still Image Service'.
Make sure that appears among your active services ( Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services ). If it is not active at the time of plugging in the scanner but is at least present and showing, right-click it and start it. If it is not even there, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the Twain Driver.
