Hi. First I would like to say how great this site is and that Microsoft can't do anything for win2k users unless they pay. Now on to my problem.

I have a dual boot C:98, D:2k on separate partitions and I get an error with defrag on the win2k disk (D: Drive). It says, "ScanFat: Scan Aborted - Fatal Error - File: \\?\Volume... (big line of letters and #s) and then a file in IE content. I searched for this file and it doesn't exist normally or hidden. Both drives are FAT32 and I have Service Pack 2. Thanks for all your help.

Greg
