When playing mp3 files the music played with "jumps" and stops.

this is through winamp and windows media player.

midi files are played ok.

with win98 everything is ok.

tried different setups.

any idea?

ARe you online when you trying to play your MP3 files??? If you are it can cause them to skip... Personally I have an mp3 collection and I have no problems running them! What program do you use to play your mp3's???
