I cant seem to install the latest SB liveware for my card because Win2k automatically installs it's Windows drivers for it and Liveware cant install it's drivers. Is there anyway I can delete the win2k drivers for my SB live card so I can manually install the ones I want? Or stop Win2k from bein a smart arse and automatically installing what IT thinks is best?
Thanks.

Go to your device manager in win2k. (System Properties -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager.)
Double click the sound card for its properties and go to the Driver tab. You will want to Update the driver. Using the wizzzzard that comes up search in a specific location for the drivers YOU want to use. Win2k will query your reasoning powers, and you may get the digital signature warning.. !
Ignore alll this and install away..! !
Good luck....
:o)

Also got a problem installing liveware 3.0 with 2000.When i start liveware install, it locks pc after initiating wise wizard. (allready after 3secs); only solution then is reset pc.
Removed nic, because it was sharing irq 9 with SB, but still same result.
Removed win2000 driver (according to 2000 interface device manager there is no conflict and SB should function normally, but i dont have any sound) ; ran liveware install again, but again: pc locked!
Also installed Soundblaster live in different pci slots; no luck!
Problem is liveware is exe file and you canīt tell 2000 to look in the dir where to find driver; you just have to run install..Anyone ideas?
thx!
