Howdy,

Win2k Pro, SP2, SB Audigy MP3+..

During playback of mp3s (through winamp) there seem to be popping noises throughout the mp3 playing. Any ideas?

Yeah Actually I just read some articles about this - apparently graphics cards and sb live and up sound cards both like to monopolize the PCI Bus in your computer system - this causes crackling and popping noises - other things that might cause it are resource conflicts such as sharing IRQ's - but in my case I eliminated those and couldn't do anything. Do a search in www.ocworkbench.com/ecs for "vgakills" it'll bring up an article about this issue - some graphics card companies have release fixes documentet in the article that may help your problem.
