I have recently added a new sound card and extra hard drive. The system worked for at least a month after with out a problem. Yesterday... error message when logging in ... system hung for improper frequency combination ... operating in safe mode ... reset the BIOS with default settings and was able to log in. Worked on the computer for an hour and left the computer on. Came down a few hours later and computer was frozen. The mouse did not move and the clock read 2 hours ago. I manually turned the computer off and restarted. Received new error about corrupt registry and dumping physical memory. Re started again and selected safe mode but did not open. I wanted to load a registry backup. Where do I begin? Thanks for your help.
