Can someone tell me how to run Windows 2000 in 16 bit mode? The 32 bit program I am using will allow me to import files created in an old, 16 bit version of the program, only if the new version is run in 16 bit mode.

Thanks!

You have to run as a "admin level" to run 16 bit code.

The thing I want to do is run a 32 bit program in 16 bit mode, so as to be able to import files that were created in an earlier, 16 bit version of the same program. Will running in "Admin Level" allow me to do that? If so, how does one run in "Admin Level" and when there, how in 16 bit mode?

Thanks

I belive you can set the program to run in 16 bit. right click on the program, and set the compatibility mode to win 95 or win3.1.

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will flame, er, correct me.

No flames here Rick ;-)

I would suspect you need the 16bit version installed to do as you want. I would also suspect this is not possble since these programs want the same install folders/etc.

Install the 16bit version on a OS that supports it. Export the files to cdburner or other media. Import into the 32bit version.

Barring this talk to the apps support for a better idea. Best of luck on that one ;-) ;let the flames begin!

I'm not a programmer, but how in the world would a 32 bit program run in 16 bit mode. I can't imagine it is possible.
