rundll32.exe has generated errors

I am running Win 2000 and everytime I have tried to download Real Player, halfway through the download it quits and I get the message "rundll32.exe has generated errors and will be shut down by Windows. Yiou will need to restart the program". Any solution suggestions?

Use the search slot at the top of this page. Type in your lead-in and then select the OS and hit go search. There has been a few other people with this problem and the solution is in the archives of this forum.

Summary: I finally got the windows update to run and after updating internet explorer and then restarting it gives me an error message saying that explorer.exe has generated errors and will be clsoe by windows...

Summary: I keep getting a "svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows - you will need to restart the program" error on startup. If i restart sometimes its ok, and other i get an error mess...
