rundll32.exe has generated errors

I am running Win 2000 and everytime I have tried to download Real Player, halfway through the download it quits and I get the message "rundll32.exe has generated errors and will be shut down by Windows. Yiou will need to restart the program". Any solution suggestions?

I'd suggest trying to reinstall your RealPlayer first. And look through your Event Viewer to see if there are any errors being logged. Maybe install Service Pack 2 for Windows 2000 if you don't have it in already...

Summary: I finally got the windows update to run and after updating internet explorer and then restarting it gives me an error message saying that explorer.exe has generated errors and will be clsoe by windows...
