I am trying to force a replication between our two AD servers. However, when I go to do this, I get an error that the RPC Server is unavailable. The two RPC services are running. I also did a netdiag /debug and it said that the DNS test has failed. I have a feeling that this is the problem, but I can get the DNS for the machine to register properly. I do have IP of the server for the DNS Server. I am lost on this one. MS tells you how to find the problem, but not how to fix it (figures). TIA for your help.

Dan,
The first thing I would try is applying the latest SP to the 2k machines. That has worked numerous times in the past with NT4. Basically what was happening was that when a piece of hardware or some software was installed, the service pack needed to be re-applied to correct driver signing issues.

Hope this helps.
