I can't find my CPU type! Sorry. My question may be fairly simple. I am trying to load the Sims Superstar on my computer and as soon as I hit the install button it pops up with a message that says "The Installshield engine (iKernal.exe) could not be launched. The RPC Server is unavailable." I've searched every site I can think of and the only info I got was from Installshield and they recommended deleting the engine from the Installshield directory and reinstalling iKernal. When I deleted the engine and tried to reinstall, I got the same error message. Now I apparently have no engine. ?? Be gentle with me, I'm a novice. (Speak slowly and clearly ;o)
Thanks!!

where are u downloading from?
do you have an antivirus running?
If you donot and you are downloading from the net.... I think I got some bad news for you.
msblast worm
that is the first thing you get-then no copy paste works and you get also some log in screens and java scripts paralyzed let alone the search function.
see if you have it first
ALT+CTRL+DEL to get you to the Task Manager
choose tag processes
see if msblast.exe is running then end it
then go to start on the taskbar click on run
type regedit click on My Computer
then CTRL+F type msblast
repeat sometimes-delete any funny findings (usually comes msblast and some other funny ones along)

then go again to Start in Search and type again msblast -delete any findings

go to the microsoft page and download the patch (before doing this make sure that you have at least the Service Pack 2 downloaded in your PC {if not then before cleaning anything download the service pack and the patch. After the downloading is over interrupt the internet connection and clean up run the patch and restart your computer)
good luck
