does anyone know if its safe to install roxio easy cd creator 5 onto my win2000...ive read a lot that its been crashing winxp and win2000, but there are some instructions (install w/out take two and download updates before rebooting)that when followed make it safe to install onto winxp...does anyone know if its safe to use the same instructions for win2000...thanx

I wouldn't bother mate , just go with one of the others. Nero is good but my personal favorite is NTI CD-Maker which has a more user friendly interface IMO.Either one will give you alot less headaches.

If you own ECDC just install the program. Don't follow the instructions for XP. Go to the Roxio web site and follow the instruction and the updates for W2000. The program works just fine in W2000. Leave out "Take Two" for any operating system! You don't need it and it can cause problems. Roxio doesn't recommend using "Go Back" with ECDC either.
