I've installed Windows 2000 Advanced Server on my computer b/c i wanted to play around with Active Directory and Roaming profiles....

How do i get started?
Do I need to register a domain with a company and then have them point that domain to my IP address (not really feasable since my ISP does it through DHCP)

Cant i just pick my own domain thats just valid from within my home network?

Create your own Domain that will be used on your Home Network. And, read up on AD, since you're obviously a beginner. :)
