Comment: I just performed a clean reinstall of my bosses computer. Before I did so I backed up the entire contents of his hard disk. I exported his Outlook email contents to a PST file and that's restored fine. The one thing I forgot to export before re-installing was his address book. As I say, his old drive contents are backed up. Is there some way of retreiving his address book by pulling a file out of the backup or something? and if so, where can I find the file and what would it's name be. I think I'm in trouble......

Reply: (edit)By default microsoft's address book is stored in: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book Where "UserName" is the user's account name on the PC. If you can get at that folder in your backup, just copy the contents to the same location on the new installation and the address book should be accessible again with all contacts listed properly.
