Hi im running windows 2000 pro and everytime i try to start up ny computer, before it finished booting up it restars automatically...the only way i can turn on the computer is if at startup i click internet explorer like 10 times...and this keeps whatever process that is turnin off my computer from doing this. for this reason i thought it might be something i have on my startup menu doing it...i also thought it was maybe the blaster worm or something but i dled the newest service pack from microsoft and still have the same problem...can anyone help?

ok the problem is i belive your only option is to preform a rebuild by this i mean take your windows 2000 pro cd let the computer boot up with the cd and follow the prompts as if you were going to reinstall windows. when it asks you if you wish to install a fresh copy or if you wish to try to repair windows select the repair option. this way windows will be reinstalled and you wont lose any of you non-windows data (eg.) mp3's, movies, file and programs) this is the only realistic option at this point!
