Comment:

My attempt to dual load win2000 with 98SE failed after a few minutes, so win2000 was only partly installed. I now have a dual boot screen and a boot.ini file that I don't want. I have tried renaming the boot.ini file but my computer fails to boot at all. How can I get rid of the unwanted win2000 files? I now want to load it to a separate hard drive.

you need to edit your boot.ini and delete the windows 98 statement out from that file, you are luck that you system did not corrupt it on you, boot.ini file is very important for windows NT/2000/xp to bring your system up.

good luck.
