in windows 98 i could go to run and type msconig and then remove icons from the task bar. i can not do that on my 2000 system. and i have cleaned out my start up menu. it is taking way to long to start up and i would love to take all them off. could someone please help me? i would greatly appericate the help. thanks in advance and god bless.

MSCONFIG works in W2000 as well. Just copy the file from your W98 system to D:\WINNT\System32 Folder and make a shortcut to the Desktop. When using it ignore the first three error messages, just say OK.
I use it that way and it works just as in W98.
