Hi all.

I am the only one that uses this computer.

When I boot up I get the window requesting the administrators password. I just leave the entry blank and click O.K. The system then boots up.

Is there any way that I can remove this feature so that the PC will load the OS and not have this persistent request appear?

Regards

Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Users and Password, untick the box "Users must enter User name and Password to use this computer" Then click OK. You will not be asked the next time you boot up the computer.

Thanks Tonto.

I will save your advice and give it a go the next time I insert the Win2000 Operating system.....most likely to-morrow.

Regards.

If this computer is on the i-net and you have no password it is more vulnerable to becoming comprimised.
