I work at a middle school and a problem has developed on one of the school's computers in the library.
During the startup and shutdown procedures of Win2000, an unwanted photo displays momentarily.
How do I stop this photo from appearing during the startup and shutdown procedures?
Thanks.

Hi there ....

You say it appears at Startup\Shutdown ..... does the normal desktop wallpaper replace it after youve logged onto the machine ? If so, you can use regedit.exe to get rid of the picture in question. Browse to the key:

HKEY_USERS\Default\ControlPanel\Desktop\Wallpaper

This is one area that windows will store any desktop wallpaper images - DO NOT delete the key itself but you can safely remove the file location listed there.

Hope this helps
