remote desktop not redirecting loca

When I connect to Win2000 from my WinXP using Remote Desktop my local printer is not displayed on remote system. It is checked in my local devices to be redirected. Same when I add local drives to be available on remote system. Does not work. Searched Microsoft knowledge base but found no help.
