"i can't direct connect to the server cause that is password protected so i need to map the network to local only i access to the server". That doesn't make sense.

Of course you'll need to authenticate to connect to the server.

Why do you need an application to map the drive and access a database? Just map the drive and create a shortcut to the database on the desktop.

Life's more painless for the brainless.
