I get the following message when I launch certain applications (Excel and a terminal emulator):

The instruction at "0x3070ae11" referenced memory at "0x3070ae11". The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of "0xc000000d".

I don't recall if the quoted fields are the same every time or not. Does anyone know what may be causing this error?

Hmm, OSA.exe is an Office 200 file I think... try disabling it at startup... it's not neccessary at all... check start->programs->startup folder for a shortcut to OSA.exe and remove it if it's there... if not enter in regedit and locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and see if it is started there... if so delete the key... see if that helps.. if not uninstall, then reinstall office
