if i remember correctly i had the same prob.....try another router or check your router's power cord and make sure it is the correct one that was with the router when you purchased it.

can you give more informatin about the router(how many ports, ect..)...also can you ping the router...the last thing you should check is the properties of your tcp/ip protocol...do you have a static ip address or are you using the router as a dhcp server...i think it might be a wiring issue between the computer and router, but would need more info about the router to know

Thanks, The router has 4 ports...2 of them in use.

The wiring and the cables were not touched at all. I simply uninstalled TCP/IP and re-installed it.

I am using the router as a DHCP server. The manual stated to do so.

Thanks, any more help would be GREATLY appreciated...my busines revolves around me getting my mail and working on the site :)

Are you getting an ip address? I know the router is supposed to be sending you one but are you actually getting one?

after re-installing TCP/IP you may want to reset your router. there is a small hole in the back with a button. press it with the end of a pen or pencil.
