I've recently changed motherboards from an 815e to Amd760. I used the same hard drive/install of Win2k. Came up with some hidden device errors and in-ability to detect LPT and Com ports. Decided to Install a fresh copy of OS over old directory.

How can I assign the old Documents and settings to the new users? Is that possible?

Create the same user accounts, go into Documents and Settings and copy over their old account info (if you backed it up). That should take care of most of it, you'll still have to tweek things here and there....
