hello !
i have changed local security setting before i rebooted system, now i can't log on the win2k machine,
I want to reset my registry file outside windows ,i know in win98 case ,we use scanreg /restore to do it in MS-DOS mode, but i use win2000 pro,i only can use F8 when start status ,but its only can resetting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ CurrentControlSetnow i cant into the windows machine ,but i have to resetting the registry , is there any way to do that?
I need help ! Thanks

If the PC is on a network, use regedt32 on another PC to 'Connect to network registry'. You should be able to change the permissions that way.
If you're not on a network, you may have bite the bullet and reinstall. Unless someone out there knows about a command line reg editor that can be run from the 'Recovery Console'?

Thanks a lot, you give me a hint !!!
Its seems could work out my problem,
but i ran into a problem that i am not certain how to change the "Local logon setting" on 'Recovery Console'.
I can use command on 'Recovery Console' to restart or stop some service ,but i couldn't found the "Local logon setting" ,i don't know where i should go to resetting it.Give me some hint, please!!!!
