Regclean still works for Win2K and XP.

I wouldn't use regclean - its 6 or 7 years old, wasn't designed for 2k/XP and could cause problems with 9x (so may mangle 2k). Try google - you'll find a number. My favourite freeware is no longer free (www.jv16.org) - but you can get a copy of one of the last free releases here - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve-dunn/jv16pt_setup.exe.

PS. Having said this - I basically don't use reg cleaners any more since using NT/2k/XP.

The best and safest registry cleaner that I have found for Windows users is RegSeeker 1.35. For personal use only, you can download a free copy at http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm. It can be set to automatically backup the registry before you make any changes!

after running all these,run NTRegOpt from Eru-NT (Erunt)which will compact the registry after the cleaners have deleted all the useless keys.It's not uncommon to have a 15% reduction in the size of the registry after running these.Next, run Pagedefrag(defrags registry hives and pagefile). Finally run 3S-SystemSecuritySuite-itwill remove any internet junk that Beclean hasn't taken out.This regimen will speed up your system and keep it fast.
2 others that work well are Regvac(30 day trial) and WinDoctor from Norton Utilities. Repeat this process 2 or 3 times when you first do it. After that as a part of routine maintenance. Beclean and System Security Suite are great for daily cleanups (takes seconds to run them)
