I have 5 Pcs, all with Win2000 Prof. and 1 NT40 Server SP6a.
The drives are mapped to the others. After a Time "I think 10min" wenn I do nothing on the Network there is a Red X on the Networkdrives. The are alsow disconnectet wenn I check it with NET USE.

If you want them to stay connected, then set the mapping to persistant in your log on script.

Check in power management in control panel, and also go into your Network Card's properties and make sure it isn't set to "turn device off to save power"... that will turn the NIC off after a set amount of time, causing you to lose the connections

C'mon people, enough with ridiculous answers. NT Servers by default have 15 minutes autodisconnect set. So if you're idle for 15 min, you'll be disconnected. You can change that.(Q297684) Also some compaq programs also cause your mapped drives to be disconnected..... Power Settings? ha ha ha
