I have looked all over the internet and searched all over on here for the answer to this. (Yes, I checked the Dell support site)

I have a Dell Latitude. I am trying reinstall from a recovery partition on the HD. I know that there is some F-key that is pressed before win-2000 boots to access the recovery partition. I need to know what that F-Key would be.

I have to do this because of a forgoten admin. password. I am aware of the "linix" boot disk trick and all, but I wanna just reinstall.

Thanks

the recovery partition on dell laptops is not for re-install, it just holds what was in RAM, so if the battery dies it can boot back to where it was
