recover password in 2003 server ?

In a network(win 2003 server). i am an user.my friends have changed my password.i have to recover my password because it is an prestige issue. i used to login via RUN-> NET USER then a window will appear, there i will enter their name and password and then i could access my folder if else i couldnt.as my login password is changed by my friends i couldnt open my folder. if i try to open the folder it says access denied. is there is any way to recover my user password or is there is any way to access that folder

This is the Win 2K Forum. Assuming you're attempting to authenticate to a Win 2003 server, why not ask the Domain Admin to reset your password? Or, have I completely misunderstood what you're attempting to ask?

are you logging into a domain or trying to access a 2K3 server accross the internet, sorry, I am ot sure what you are asking as the 'prestige' part threw me as they are an ISP here?

I think there has been changed on folder security.. try to change to full access to that folder that u are trying to access..
folder >right click . properties > secrrity tab > User > check on full control.
