reboot loop / no safe mode

Out of the blue computer failed on start up. Went into safe mode, did checkdisk, but now it will not even go into safemode. Blue screen error message is too fast to read. Any ideas? Will a re-install delete all old data? Thanks!
OK, thanks, but since I have NTFS already, will a new install erase existing data?

Is there a way to read the error message? It just flashes and is gone. What's up with that? How does MSFT expect you to read it in .1 seconds? All I got was "corrupt".
