I have a Windows 2000 OS and I get a message saying that the virtually memory is low and it is increasing its memory. I went to my computer icon and right-click on it and went to property. There is a tab where I can change paging size of virtual memory. Is this a right place to fix this? If so, what size do I need to set up? I do not know where this keeps happening because I am not using many applications at the same time at all. Please help.

Thank you very much.

How much physical memory do you have? If you have at least 256k do the following.

Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Performance Options/Advanced and then click on change. Set your virtual memory to the same value (Upper and lower limits should be the same ... I don't care what it recommends) If you have 256k .. make them both the same number. That'll force the system to use your memory and not to create and use a paging file.

Depends on how much ram you have, 128mb should be your minimum, then set your pagefile to 300mb
